Ok please help, here I go, new to me cb360 bike, I took off the stator cover and oil came out. Not a little bit either. right at the bottom of the engine case about centered to the stator is a hole with a pin in it. The pin is part of something called an oil separator, but should there be an oil seal here, cause that's where all the oil comes out of???

Thanks with any help!

If the bikes on the sidestand, oil will come out. Put it on the centerstand before removing that cover to minimize the amount of oil you lose.

put a piece of wood about 1/2" thick under left leg of centerstand.
If level is correct , oil will still come out without extra height (bike has to lean to right slightly.
The oil separator is plate under flywheel, think there are pics of it near beginning of my build thread?

Don't worry it wont leak all the oil. Just what was behind the cover. It seems like a lot of oil though. Scary unless you know its ok.

Hahah yeah I remember the first time I pulled that.
Bike was on the sidestand and it flowed out, I expected it to stop quickly but it kept coming.
I ended up setting the timing AND changing the oil.

As already stated make sure the bike is level and it wont flow much, better yet lean it right (just not too far)
