CB360 Swingarm Extension Kit

Anyone know where I can get these? Wrench tech is always out of stock and haven't heard back from them. Not sure if they are still in operation. I need 2.5-3" extension.

Thanks!

I can't help you w/ the extension kit, but I have a 360 swing arm laying around if you'd like an extra.

Yes you do. Cut it,and add the 2 1/2",extend the chain and brake arm. Bam,done. :p

Exactly, two welds rather than four; stronger & easier.

yeah if you have 2 arms, make one longer, one out of 2 (properly exacutatated)thataway you only have one weld joint per side ;)

I'd suggest that if you need to look for a swingarm extension "kit" you should probably not be extending the swingarm. The smartest way to extend a swingarm is to get a longer one form a different bike.

And just for the record, solid slugs inside the swingarm are the surest way to guarantee that it will crack because of the way that the stresses are concentrated. And you don't really want a straight cut either for the same reason.

I have a 6" over GSXR swingarm to slip into one of my drag bike projects and it was professionally machined, welded and braced and it has a crack in at the pivot which will need to be Vee'd out and welded and machined again. A royal PIA.

As a generalization, extending swingarms is a bad idea.

agreed ;) internal slugs at frame joints is the totally wrong way to design a tubing joint ,they do nothing to improve the joint in fact are detrimental, yet so many are gay for them, the solid ones are the worst, a sad joke
i think the main reason stupid fuckers like the internal slug is cause they cant fucking weld ;D

Well sure you can swap swingarms. But he can just add the 2 1/2" too. What is your goal williamng?

Exactly. What is he trying to achieve with the modification. Most swingarm mods I have seen are so unsafe, it's not funny. They crack and distort and are generally unsafe. If he really needs a longer swingarm it's safer to get one fabricated by a swingarm guy like Macintosh.

jimmer/ridesolo I get your rationale for 1 weld instead of two now. Sorry for the newbie response. Still learning.

No problem, dude. The good folks here really have your best intrests in mind and have tons of experience but at times it can seem like you are being "dog piled." Good luck with your project whichever way you decide to go.
