CB360 Tank badge mount

If anyone has cut open a CB360 tank, could you confirm that the metal where the Honda badges mount is the same thickness all the way along its length?

I've got some smaller badges to mount and can reuse one screw mount, but need to drill and tap another. I don't really want to start drilling and go straight through the tank...
