Folks -

20 years ago, I started with a complete '76 400 with the intention of a full restoration. Bought a bunch of new parts some of which are no longer available (like a NOS tank and seat). After several moves, life challenges and the like I've lost the drive to complete my vision of a complete original bike and instead started a cafe project with another 400 parts bike and of all things bought a Norton Commando that fell in my lap due to an estate sale.

I know this would be worth more parted out, but I would prefer to sell the project as complete as possible. Please make me an offer if you're interested. Here's a listing of where it stands and photos of the original bike before teardown. Will post photos on request since there is so much.

- Frame straight with clean title, and all supporting parts (pegs, stand, mounts, triple tree) powder coated black
- Engine and side cases bead blasted and clear coated
- Head with valve job complete, no stripped spark plug threads, bent/broken fins or worn out of spec cam bearings. bead blasted
- Cylinders mic'ed at stock specs, honed and bead blasted
- Complete engine internals with stock pistons (no rings) and main bearings plastigauged within spec
- Complete set of carbs clean, functional but not soda blasted with stock plastic air box and rubber inserts
- Two gas tanks (one Red NOS and another Varnish Blue usable and derusted)
- Good black side covers not cracked, but decals need replacing
- Wheels, disk, hubs in good condition - not restored. Brake system not rebuilt, but complete
- Two sets of gauges with some dents, but restorable
- Stock handlebars with decent switchgear condition
- Seats: one NOS in the box and another good seat pan with bad foam and cover
- Headlight bucket has crack and chrome ring has scrape
- Straight rear fender and front with scrape
- Two stock 4 into 1 exhaust headers with cosmetic damage but restorable. Have muffler, but it's gutted
- Good wiring harness
- Powder coated battery box, good air cleaner box, tool tray

Where are you located, and what is a realistic number that you're looking to get. Hit me up with a PM if you don't want to discuss it here.
