Hey all, I have a stock CB400F tank that looks to have its gap widened, now it doesn't touch the rubber mounts on the frame. Anyone with any experience in this? Should I attempt to bend it back to it's original shape?
Depends on how bad it is. Also -- Honda used different width rubber grommets on different bikes, so someone might have replaced the wider ones with narrower. Have a look -- how far off is it? Could you widen the grommet and get the tank to sit safely? If so, just do that, you can usually find stuff that will work at a hardware store.
