Been Around the Block
Lots of parts here. This all came with my 2 bikes when I got them. Pics do better than me explaining everything:
Some specifics:
The tank has emblems, I have half stripped it and taken a sandblaster to the inside. It has a dent where the knee knock is on the side shown. should not be a big deal at all to get it pulled out, its not creased at all. It still will need further cleaning inside. I took the bottom and sandblasted it, primed it with auto primer, then shot it with rustoleum flat black a few times. not perfect but it will never rust again. This tank in my opinion is the best stock tank they made for the cafe look. It fits the CB400T frame just fine. I think its from a cb350?
The Comstars are 20" fronts, 19" rear.
Carbs are VB21B's not all the linkage is there to sync them, but most is. they will require a rebuild but are clean.
I'm open to offers on all this, I dont even know what to ask. I am really fishing for useful trades:
A 21" Front wire wheel with drum brake assy that will fit the CB400T
Clubman bars black or chrome
A DCC basic cafe seat or someone with some alum skills that can trade parts plus some cash for making me a simple 28" cafe seat
Velocity stacks/pods that will fit the CB400T
VB21 Rebuild kits and larger jets
Retro Gauges that work
A CB400T Cylinder assy (jugs portion and/or Valve portion, both have to be in great shape)
a CB400T Alternator/generator assy.
CB400T choke cable assy in VG shape
aftermarket throttle assy with no controls (basic minimalist look)
Oh, and if you need a specific vintage tank and dont mind restoring it a bit, let me know:
