Just saw them on their site...do you have any close up pics? What kind of clamps did you use. Thanks man...

Ok its been a while...

I've been having problem with my build since 3 month and found out with the help of people here, that my dyna-s was dead and on coil to... so back to points and stock coils.

Video time: CB450 cafe racer first start.

Ok runing rich but still ;) sounds like a beast!

Thanks everyone for your support.

Sounds great, pipes look awesome too! It's not popping when you let off, so it must not be TOO rich. That tank looks pristine, nice paint and stripes. That ignition problem sucks, points suck. First thing I'm doing after this summer riding season is getting electric ignition. Keep it coming, looks like it's going to be killer when it's done.

Thanks

It's is runing to rich... I as soon as i blips the trottle the engine die. I have to open it gently. And idle is high can't set it lower or it dies and plugs are black... So pilot jet right?

Sounds like maybe the pilot and the main both, although I would start with the pilots and see if it would idle better, then worry about mains. Also, double check your fuel screws, make sure they're turned out the right number and all the same. Might be too rich from just having them too far out...

I'm thinking right now of buying a colortune to check the mixture. Any advice on this?
I bought another kickstart from cb360 to clear the rearset which are in the way.

These no fuel screw on VM32's they have airscew so the more unscrewed, the more air. I still think that its my main jet...

Its been a while :) working on the rearset bracket... they where not ok for me and where moving around so I built some in 1/4 aluminium:

Great looking build. Two questions for you - will the Hagon wide springs fit with the chain guard? Any luck getting those Mikunis to work right?

Hi Troyt :)

First question, yes the Hagons fit the chain and chain gard nicely.
My VM32's are not pretty much dialed up so yes its possible, throttle response is really nice now vs the old CV carb.
I have a bunch of old parts if you need them.

Hi guys its been a while!
I'm almost ready to go pass the safety with my bike... some little modification to make.

Now a poll!

I have to repaint it since the red was almost like a test pain on it.

- Should I leave it red with black sticker? OR

- Red with gold stickers
- Black with gold sitckers
- Black with red sticker

I'm talking about the color of the body, the engine color and wheel will stay the same.

Ok but did you took a look at the original stickers? Should I have the stripes and honda logo in gold with 4 little black stripes for the 2 black stripes that would make them stand out more.

Let me know if you saw the original design . For sure on paper red and gold is awesome . But would it be nice with the kind of stickers I have on it?

A lot of your photos aren't working and I vaguely remember the original stickers so I cannot comment on the stickers matching. As much as I love red/gold, the red with black looks pretty good as well. It's very subtle. You definitely wouldn't be going wrong with keeping it the way you had it.

Right before I've rebuilt the engine the compression of pistons where 200psi. Now... 240psi...thats by far the highest if ever seen on a cb450.

That is way out of line - have you had your gauge calibrated lately? 200 is awfully high for that motor.
