Cb450 bad noise cam chain tensioner after milling?

Re: Cb450 bad noise piston slap?

Didn't wanna insult anybody... Just wanna make sure they we're not mistaken and talking about the same thing.

Re: Cb450 bad noise piston slap?

Here's a little more info.

After removing the rear cam cover I found out that I could pull a little bit on the timing chain...

So I took apart the tensioner and it's working fine. Locking around 2mm before the end of its travel...

Chain is almost new and I've check the length while reinstalling.

After removing the tensioner and relocking it the tension on the car was much better. Closes everything and tried again and still does the noise...

I have again to remove the cover to check the chain.

I don't think I've misrouted the chain while reassembling... If so where could I've done wrong?

Same noise event after doing the tensioner procedure.

Now I'm thinking... I had a hard time getting the cam chain to fit correctly last time... Could I have out to lunch slack on the exhaust side vs the intake?

Can that be possible?

Changed the title of the tread since its not a piston slap neither kissing valves as I've check those.

Here's my thinking

Still doing the noise even after i've checked the tensioner with the right procedure.

My thinking,

Could the -.015 of the head + -.015 of the deck cause the tensioner to be out of reach?...

Do I have to remove a link from the cam chain to make it work? If so I,ll just buy another one, remove a link and tie it to the existing brand new one... :(
only 1000miles on it but its a EK.

If I remove the tensioner in lock position and the tensioner is at the end of its travel, then I should be fixed right?
Is there any other things I forget?
