So mine needs rebuilt and I was wondering what someone else has done. I see on eBay that I can get a new one for about $60 or buy the rebuild kit for about half of that. I'm pretty sure that mine can be rebuilt but I just hate to spend 30 bucks on the 3 little seals that come in the kit. Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks.

In case it matters it's a '72 K6

on the face where the switch is is there rivets or screws holding together? if rivets cant be rebuilt.

I just bought a new at the dealer for $52 including tax. I would stay away from ebay, they will get you with the shipping cost. You can get the seals at any hardware store. Here is a link where you can get a kit for less.

Ive heard of kits that include new screws to replace the rivets if you drill them out..
Better yet, PM 66sprint for a cb450 fueltap.

Hey thanks. It isn't riveted so I think it would be an easy rebuild. I'm gonna check out those fuel taps first, though.

'72 K6- hmmm thats new to me, but the paetcock parts are available form the dealer if you look up the part numebrs at Service honda, see manuals i think for that link.
just change the rubber thingy with the 4 holes usually works. the brass screen is also available and the dealer prices are cheap.
