I was told that honda made the cb/cl450's in the early 70's with slightly different size bores and that i would have to measure the piston to find out what size rings i need. can anyone tell me if this is true? or am i safe just ordering standard size rings?
Never heard that. If youre doing the rings anyway you might as well measure, but as far as im aware the standard size rings will be fine. Maybe someone was confusing it with the 500T?
yea it didn't sound right to me. it was a guy at the dealership and he didn't seem to know very much so that in itself made me wonder how valid the statement was. i'll check out servicehonda.com. thanks guys, i appreciate it.
