Been Around the Block
I got a chance to pull the flywheel and take a look at the starter clutch tonight, previously i bought all 9 parts, 3 springs, 3 caps, 3 rollers. To my surprise the caps and rollers are fine, the only thing i could find was the old springs are about 1/4" shorter than the new ones. Is this typical of a starter clutch that will rarely "catch" and usually freewheel and not turn over the engine?
One other stupid question i was able to take the rollers and springs apart with out separating the starter clutch from the flywheel, will i be able to reasemble it and get the sprocket back in without separating it? I figure if the three philip's screws are still nice and tight i dont wanna mess with them if i dont have to!
