CB450 tank good cond. CB450 Pipes good cond. Parting 2 450s

not too sure on how to test them.

but i'd bet if you post in the tech forum you'd have an answer in less than an hour....

and yes, i am still interested in them so long as they are working.
 
You can test coils by using a multimeter. Stick the positive prong to the wire that powers the coil and the negative to a ground. Turn the ignition on with the kill switch on "on" as well and measure in VDC. It should be around 12V (if it's less, the coils could be bad OR they need to have their own circuit from the battery, a little mod in the $50 mod section). Now you want to test them when they're warm. Stick them in the oven to get them warm but not burning/melting, slap it on the bike and measure with same procedure above. If you're getting the same reading, they're fine, if not, replace those mothers.

On another note, I'm looking for functional right hand controls for my cb450k7. The light switch broke :(.

Sorry, I've been really busy moving the bikes around and such and collecting parts for cars/bikes the past few weeks and I've neglected this.

Partydog, I've got one set of forks/trees ready to go, just need to pull the second set. I think tomorrow I may be able to. Sorry I've taken so long.

I should have functional righthand controls that will likely need some attention but should be good. I have no idea what to ask for it. $20 shipped?

Still haven't tested the coils. Will try to get them tested this weekend. Sorry for the delay guys!

i need em for my CB500T, and from what i recall reading somewhere, there a direct fit, and they dont have that weird catalytic converter thing that the 500s pipes have

oo and if it will fit, the shift pedal, and maybe the seat, if you have one

no worries on the seat and shifter, i got a shifter and am getting my seat situation taken care of via roc city

do you still have the pipes? id like to work something out with ya on them 8)
 
well, let me know what you'd want shipped for a good titled frame and we may just be dialed!
Before you go throwing $$ at it let me know the costs. As i said before, this is coming out of my pocket and my profit on this bike are pretty slim as it is.
