SD Cafes...
heres the deal.... i just got a CB450A CDI witch has 11 cables and the CB450SC only has 9... can somebody tell me if i can use the first one?? if so tell me witch cables go were... I will thank you for ever ! ! ! !

I'm not entirely sure it can be used successfully. Not saying it can't, just not sure. The A has some extra stuff that the SC doesn't have (side stand switch, and timing changer), not sure if these will prevent the unit from working on the SC. Hopefully someone here has a bit more knowledge.

Looking at the wiring diagrams, here is what I see.

The two-wire connector with the dark green and yellow wires is the same on both, it goes to the coils.
The black/white wire is the same on both, it goes to the kill switch.
The two-wire connector with the blue and white wires is the same on both, it goes to the alternator

The Orange on the A could match up with the Sky Blue on the SC, so that would leave the side stand switch and changing unit wires to take care of. Again, hopefully someone else can chime in.

I've highlighted the 'odd' wires below.

A
Dark Green - Coil
Yellow - Coil

Black/White - Kill Switch

Brown - Alternator
Pink - Alternator
Dark Green - Alternator
Orange - Alternator

White - Alternator 2
Blue - Alternator 2

Sky Blue - Changing Relay (to adjust timing)
Green/White - Side Stand Switch

SC
Dark Green - Coil
Yellow - Coil

Black/White - Kill Switch

Brown - Alternator
Pink - Alternator
Dark Green - Alternator
Sky Blue - Alternator

White - Alternator 2
Blue - Alternator 2

thanks @HerrDeacon... comparing my notes, we are on the same page with the wiring.... but the one million dollar question is... what to do with the other two cables... should i connect it to a positive line or a negative line????

Love to help you out further, but that's the extent of my electrical knowledge. There are some very knowledgeable guys with this line of Hondas over on hondatwins.net. There is a CB/CM 400/450 specific section over there if you don't get any answers here.

thanks again @HerrDeacon.... will post on honda twins.... take care and have a great weekend ! ! !
