CB450K6 Wrong Throttle Cable?

Installed the new throttle cable off ebay (I know, sigh). Went on nice and smooth up until I needed to set the throttle cables so the stop screw touches its base again. I've got the cables turned all the way down to the darn bracket and don't have any more to give. The stop screw is still about 2mm above the base (e.g. doesn't shut all the way). Of course, it revs like a son of a gun because of this.

I'm guessing it may be the wrong cable but thought I would shoot it out for your thoughts/suggestions. I could remove the nut on each of them (it's twisted all the way down to the cap so no more adjustments there) and gain a little more, but I don't know that it would be enough and I wouldn't be able to lock them into place then, either.

Ready to pull the trigger and purchase one from somewhere else but I've got clubmans and the stock length won't look right.

Thank you!

Took a look at this to make sure. It looks like adjustments are fine. The joint where the two bottom cables come into the single seem to be at their max location. More specifically, they seem to bottom out at the base so there's no tension being created by the throttle side (hope that makes sense).

Problem solved! I trimmed the cable sheathing on the two ends closest to the carbs. A little careful trimming with my Dremel and I gave myself another half inch or so. Everything works smooth now!

Doing the happy dance!
