The reason I need to know about the switches is on the starter switch there is a black/yellow stripe wire coming out, that doesn't have a mate anywhere else, does anyone know what this is/ it's equivalent/ where it ties in?

Black/yellow is probably a Suzuki switch?
What are the wire colours on both sides?
If they are from a bike with electronic ignition you may have a grounding kill switch (or open? It will be OFF to make connection/run)
BTW, neat idea with plug leads, never seen that done, usually only paracord on 12v wiring

Thanks pj, I've been looking stuff up online today (what exactly issss work?) and it seems that they are possibly from a late cb or cm 400. Did these come with electronic? Could be the same thing?

Ps. The turn switch wires look the same as any other Hondas I've seen. Are you saying that if I leave this wire sealed off i should be fine?

battery box looks awesome best idea. The leads look great to i had no idea you could do that hey. Perhaps a how to thread should be started lol. Great ideas once again im kinda thinking of stealing a few

Another, in a little better light, those aren't indents on the front of the tank, optical illusion.

CB/CM400t is electronic ignition.
OFF will make contact and be ON
Anti-theft device ;D

Freeride, this bike is fucking beautiful. Your rope spark plug solution is genius. I love it.

Engine Frozen!! Went to adjust the valves and timing, I imagine about 30 minutes before the first time i get to hear it run......and its f**king frozen. I rebuilt it last year, but it turns out that 1 and 4 were at TDC, thus leaving the valves open, thus allowing the valves and cylinders to fiill with rust. Removed the heads and am letting the pistons soak right now in PB blaster and Seafoam and pray that it works, although its been three days and no budge. I am furious beyond all belief, i dont want to buy anything else.....but if i have to buy 550 jugs and bore them out to 605, i guess ill have to.

almost all the '605' kits are really 590~591cc. (61mm piston)
61.75~62mm piston needs new liners

So, considering I have spare, in very good condition pistons from my old 750, I think I could get 550 jugs and bore them out to fit those pistons without resleeving, correct? I believe I read somewhere that the sleeves were thicker on the 550 and could be bored to those specs....?

Yep, you have to modify pistons a bit, the specs are pretty easy to find , either go to SOHC4.net or Google and enter Gentleman's Express in search
I've done way over 70,000 miles on my 550 with modified 750 pistons 8)
