Alright, yes I know that this is yet another post on pod filters from the millions posted all over. Im just simply looking to get the right pod filter size for my 71 CB500 Four K0. Looking to get the proper diameter size and length so if any one has the specs please post. I've been looking at the ones on DCC.com and they have a wide range of measurements. Apparently almost every diameter fits the CB500 according to their compatibility chart which sort of confuses me..Can any one provide me with the exact perfect filter that DCC offers that will fit my K0 model??
And PLEASE...NO POD HATERS. I know very well what im getting my self into by adding pods to my build and I know that the stock airbox is the best option. But please lets refrain from posting any anti pod posts. thanks. :
Except that all but the very shortest of pods wont fit a cb500 because the frame behind carbs one and four cross the path very close to them.
Even then, they will hit the frame, if I remember correctly.
The CB500 fours need 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" (35mm to 38mm) pods. As stated earlier the length is an issue for the outer 2 carburetors so they do not hit the frame rails. Uni makes a set specifically for them. They are the PK-3s. I just measured the ones in our shop and the overall length is 2 3/4" and the effective installed length is about 2 1/4".

Thanks SOS this helps a great deal. Ill look into the PK-3s and the measurements def help a ton. As for the rest of you, my CB500 build isn't meant to put me 6 feet under doing over the ton. But my 2013 CBR 1000RR is.
