Ok, first let me start this off with, I've been searching for 2 days now for an answer specific to my question, with no avail.
Here is the question.
72 cb 500 has no spark at the plug.
Things I have done so far
Fully charged battery
No killswitch
Wiring is good.
12 Volts going to coils
4-5 ohms at both coils
Power through the blue and yellow wire going to the points
Set points
Still no spark at the plug.
The only thing I can think of is the coils aren't grounded. But, they are in their stock location. No tampering there.
Should these be grounded to the frame?
If you see anything I'm missing please feel free to chime in, but also please don't say " have you checked the battery" or "what about voltage going to the coils.
Thanks in advance.
