CB500F K0 Rear Spokes Help!

I'm looking to replace my old rusty spokes on my 1972 CB500 Four K0 model. I've been looking an all websites that have CB500 Four parts and can only find Front Spoke sets for the 19" rim. I can never find CB500 specific Rear Rim Spoke set for my 18" Rear rim. They only show CB750's and 450s. At this point I'm starting to think that it really doesn't matter what model it is as long as the spokes are for an 18" rim with a drum brake system like mine. Am i right? Can i just purchase any 18" rear drum spoke set even if it says it fits a CB750? Or do all the models defer from one another? Do they have the same rear 18" rim and drum brake system? Please help! Thanks!

You need to know the hub and rim diameters for each model. Obviously, the wheel diameter is easy enough (18"). But you can also try to find the part number for a cb500f spoke and compare it to the # for a cb750 spoke.

Know what? I think I have a spoke set for a 750 rear wheel. I'll have to check tomorrow.....

The front hubs are all the same from the 450 to the 1000, but I think the rear hubs are different.

One reason I believe this is the pre-packaged spoke kit selection at Buchanan Spokes. Their front kits are marked for the CB450-1000 (I've used these sets personally) but the rear spoke sets are specifically marked for the CB750 rear drum.

Now, that being said, if you want the best quality spokes and don't mind investing in them, Buchanan will make you what you need in stainless for about $100 or less per wheel.

Ended up finding a cheaper alternative to new spokes. I recently came across a website www.davidsilverspares.com that offers exact oem or after market replicas for all kinds of parts including both front and rear spoke sets for the CB500. They are significantly cheaper than Buchanans and come from England. The only downside is that the rear spoke set only comes with gold nipples rather than silver...at first this was a major turn off for me seeing as i was trying to follow a black/silver color scheme but i guess thats what you get when you're on a budget and cant afford nice things. In the end, these will work just fine and are specified for the exact model. Hope this helps for any one looking for cheap spokes and or replacement parts for that matter. They have it all.
