cb500t charlies place ignition?

I'm working on a 75' honda cb500t that I picked up for the winter months. It doesn't want to start after adjusting points and timing and has a very very weak spark. Therefore, I'll need to start spending money and want opinions on what the best use of my money.

The stock coils/condensors/plug wire and caps and shot. So upgrades need to be made. Option 1: replace points and upgrade coils. Options 2: electronic ignitions/coils/rectifier. Option 3: sell the bike for a small profit without having spent anything and chose another bike to work on.

Does anyone have experience with charlies place ignition/coils/rectifier? Here is a rundown on prices for a plug and play upgrade

Electronic ignition - $200
Reg/rect - $125.
dyna coils (5 ohm) - $165.
leads and caps - $27.
brackets (mount on stock frame) - $30.
Labor for coils mounted on brackets w/leads and wires installed (ready to plug in, bolt on) - $20.

I'm drawn to the ease of this upgrade, but seems quite spendy. I haven't heard any complaints on the product. What are other options?

If you are going to spend that kind of money check out the Pazon electronic ignition. At $550 they are steep, but you get coils and leads and caps to go with the unit. The Brits have been using them for years. I have been looking at them...by the time I spend $160 on coils and $200 on a Charlies or Pamco ...I might just go all the way and get the hall effect bonus of the Pazon

The only thing I don't like about Pazon (besides the pricy ) is that it is a single coil, waste spark system. They claim it works fine on a 180 degree engine, but I am uncomfortable with it. When you consider they have 1/2 of the electronics on board (only one pick up) it isn't that great a deal.

Waste spark works great on engines that fire every 360 degrees. CB500, 450, 360, 350 are all 180 degree motors.
