CB500T master cylinder ideas?

I just got a set of clipons for my 500t that look to be a little too short to fit the grip, starter button and master cylinder without the master hitting the triple tree.

Any ideas for a smaller master cylinder?
Does anyone know the stock bore size?
I was looking at a radial unit but will that work properly?

I'm planning on upgrading to stainless lines. Running the clipons on top of the trees would fix the problem but I'd rather run them under hence the need to save space on the bars.

This may sound stupid, but is the bore size not written (cast) on the underside. That's how newer bikes are.
