CB500T Parts...Parts...and more parts! Ithaca, NY

Pugsley

A pic I stole and modified...my intention!
OK, so most of what I have is of little enough interest, but here goes!

I am building one out of three, and it will only use a portion of the parts I have, so I'll have plenty left over:

Two Frames
Two engines (never apart, but field/barn finds)
Two rear of wheels (I'm rebuilding the stockers with new spokes)
Extra brake rotors
One front wheel (using 'spare' in sidecar project)
Two sets of forks/extra shocks, etc.

Please let me know if you need any of this stuff, or even more or less complete parts bikes, I'll wind up with sidecovers in the burgundy and the brown, no extra tank, and I 'll wind up with extra seats/pans...

Re: CB500T Parts...Parts...and more parts!

Hey Pugsley, quick question : I've got a '77 750F2 that I'm cafe-ing and was wondering, what size rims are on the fr./back respectively,(ON YOUR cb500,I know what I've got) I want spokes on this bad-boy instead of the comstars; optimally I'd like to keep the double disc on the front and the single disc on rear, but that's not a do-or-die, we all know the discs from that period left a little to be desired anYway, I just really want the old school look w/polished rims and stainless spokes. Can you let me know what measurements are stamped on the rim(s) and what brakes each one uses. Anyone else whose done this, let me know; I've dated an attorney for enough years that any attempt to make me feel stupid doesn't even faze me. By the way; I sent her packing about a month ago;now it's back to me and my 8 year old Australian Shepherd?wire-haired Terrier mix and, man, is it peaceful around here.I'm actually getting some work done on my bikes.

Re: CB500T Parts...Parts...and more parts!

I wanna say 4.00-18 on the rear and 3.5-19 on the front, but I'll check. I can get pretty close on the diameter of the hubs, but the rear is a drum.

Of course, you can always figure out what length spokes you need and re-lace to any hub...

Get back to you as soon as I make it out to the shop!

G/F (that I'm keeping) had a horse show today...I wound up working. The new boss is the husband of the lady with the horse barn, so two birds with one all-day stone ;)

Re: CB500T Parts...Parts...and more parts!

gearhead - you should look for a set of Goldwing GL1000 rims - they're DID alloy spoked rims and should go right onto your CB750. Check with Loco Leon ;)

Sorry!
I always get annoyed when the location isn't in the subject line...I'll try to edit that.

But~
Located in Central NY, near Ithaca/Fingerlakes.

Have just a set of HONDA tank badges and tiny ass screws? How much shipped to 18066? My 500T didnt come with any :(

I may need other stuff, but nothing come to mind off of the top of my head. Brian I can get some of that stuff from the local Junkyard and charge you price if need be. Let me know.

tank badges and tiny ass screws?

Honestly I haven't had the badges off either tank , I always thought they were double-sided taped on. The screws on my '79 750F are very obvious.

Sorry I haven't gotten shiite together yet...busier than I thought I'd be this time of year!

Im confused, So you do have the badges? Mine are for sure screw on. lol
Have a nother seat pan? The padding doesnt matter.

How much would you want for them? No rush.

PS. Did you plan to use CL450 pipes on the 500? I was looking for a set but couldnt find one. Let me know how it works out! Very interested!

$5 or $10 for the badges, if I can get them off cleanly. I'll try the 'spare' tank first...I'm not prolly gonna use either set, so we'll see.
Damn I gotta kick this cold so I can get out into the shop when I have a weekend!

Oh, have the CL pipes...and though the tips look like they were cut off, from a '74, looks like the pic with the separate heatshields.

I have a weird seat with a large area for the rider, like the old king and queen, but it has a small passenger pillion, almost like it's trying to be a gunfighter and lady, but not as cool. I killed the king and queen to use the seat pan, and I have one rotted stock seat in black, and one stock seat in brown...pretty good shape. I'll use whatever pan looks good, and probably sell the stock good one on ebay...

But I can give you whichever pan I don't use.
ship only, or you can come up and peruse and help me get mine runnin'!

Re: CB500T Parts...Parts...and more parts! Ithaca, NY

Seats over on 'what you need', but I'll do a couple pics here.

The brown one has a slight rubbing of the strap. Seems strong, but not 100%.
The pic of that didn't work so I'll send /take more if it's a concern.

Still have 'em, Aaron, let me know what you want to do, Probably e-bay the stuff this week.
