CB550 oil pressure

Have any of you guys had any problem with oil pressure sending units going bad? It seems like every time I take a 100 -150 mile ride with sustained speeds of 60-70 mph my sending unit packs it in. It's happened three times in three months.

I'm thinking of adding a gauge as well.

Nope, never had the problem. It could be a problem at the oil-signal-light on the dash. If that's corroded the oil-switch could be shortcutted. Blue-brown wire is from the oil switch. Check the connectors for corrosion. I don't know what it could be if that's not the problem.

To much oil in the engine also kills it. Make sure you've got enough, but to much oil in it!
