CB550K3 wiring harness on CB550F2 (77)

Hi All,

I have a 77 CB550F and the wiring harness is a mess, with so many dodgy connections and scotch blokes with new wire going nowhere. I was going to spent hours rationalising and cleaning, but have come across a wiring harness for a CB550K3. Looking through the manual and there are different wiring diagrams for years, regions, types. The F2 European type and K3 look similar, but without checking every last thing I was hoping someone with the knowledge could help out.

Can the K3 wiring harness just swap for the F2? do the plugs for things like the rectifiers and controls match?

I have swapped it out. very easy, all the plugs fitted and the ease of connecting the new controllers/switchgear into the headlight bucket as opposed to bullets under the tank made it much easier.
