Well, I did one seat/cowl on the 81 which we all know without frame change isn't fun. I was shooting for a cowl that was a little smaller and flowed a lot better. So I started with a metal seat pan bolted to the frame. Then I wanted a separate cowl that I could store tools, hats, etc. So I created a separate fiberglass cowl that I could bolt down to the pan. Then I thought it would be tits if i could have a cowl that folded up and down at will. I put a hinge into the fiberglass and bolted it to the seat pan. I welded up little spacers so the frame which is f'd up with a cruiser bend already, would look decent. I didn't fabricate a seat pad yet, but its on its way.
