CB750 Back from Barber, back to work.

Unreal bodywork - that you?

Any motor fun on this one?

I'm in for the duration.

Yeah.... that's pretty good I guess ;)

Make plans to ride it to Barber next year so I can see it in person - looks incredible so far.

Sigh...

I'll never be that good.

Thanks for the comments. I'm having a go at bending 1/2" stainless hard lines for the oil tank and my first attempts haven't gone well, though it did give me an excuse to buy more tools. I ordered more line as well and will try again. I hope to have it done(minus paint) in the next two weeks.

Stainless requires appropriately sized dies and a proper bender, as you've already discovered I'm sure. The spring trick, the freezing trick and all the other tubing kinking tricks just won't work with stainless!

What kind of bender did you get? I bought this one when I re-did the brakes on my Spitfire. Properly greased, it's a dream to use.

Ha, got that exact one. It does do beautiful bends, getting the bend angle and orientation correct is another challenge all together. There is no "massage" it into place with stainless. Its either right or wrong. I have a plan B ready where I'll use 2" braided swivel hose to connect the hard lines together. I also got the 6 bearing tube cutter and stainless 37 degree flairing tool.

I noticed is listed as a "guest" now.. Ha!

Maybe now I can post a build thread again with out his negativity. HA!

Very nice lines going on here, the tank and tail are very well done, look forward to seeing more.
