I've got lowered Progressive shocks on the rear of mine, and bottoming out on the rear of the frame was a concern. But I've found, through testing each setting on the adjustable's, that contrary to the thought, having them at the "highest" setting" leaves you with a touch higher ride, more travel, and the concern of bottoming out goes away, also smoothes out all but the most severe bumps in the road from beating your kidneys to death. Also, I've got the front end lowered 1.75" into the triples, and even bottoming out the forks, I don't hit pipes. Then again, I have Nighthawk forks, so they may be a different length, but best way to set them is to install them dry, no oil, mount the tire and compress them until your comfortable with the tire/pipe clearance, then you know how far you can slide them up the triple trees. Just a thought, good luck!
