Why don't more people use AirTech body parts? They seem to make some nice stuff.

Why don't more people use AirTech body parts? They seem to make some nice stuff.

A lot of builders don't like using fiberglass on the street, in case of an accident, it will (most likely) crack and spill fuel everywhere. That and fiberglass used to have bad reactions to the new "E10" fuel here in the U.S...causing the tank to deteriorate from the inside out. There are coatings now to prevent that.

i didnt want to start a new thread, but here is a pic of my modified back end for summer 2014. i gave the lip more an arch. luckily i was able to salvage my old seat by re-fiberglassing and cutting some of the fabric.
