I currently have an XL 350 but this is on my local Craigslist. It comes with frame engine and wheels pretty much. Is it worth the 250? Or is it going to be way more money than its worth.

Go see it in person, write down the engine and frame numbers then call your local DMV office and find out for sure that its not stolen. Depending on the rules and regulations of your state you still might have a hard time registering it without a title even if it isnt stolen. The price is good but remember its just a parts bike if you cant register and ride it..............George.
Has he got all the other parts or is it just what we see in the pics? If not, then you're up for a lot of $$$ in parts before it runs - and then you might need an engine re-build...who knows?
Then you got to get it titled.....
Also, pretty sure that isn't the correct rear wheel for a DOHC (they all had disc rears). Front probably isn't right either (??)
Deals like that you have to jump on right away. That was a steal at that price... Titling can be a pain depending on state from what I've heard. Super easy in Indiana though.
You don't have to go to your dmv/bmv to check if it's reported stolen or not though. I have a family member that works for the sheriffs dispatch office here and all vin checks are done by the phone operators in the dispatch office and they use NICB.org to check if the vin has ever been registered as stolen. If it comes back nothing found, you're golden... I use it all the time when buying bikes without titles. The dmv/bmv does call it in again when I stop in there to get a title though even after I have the police report stating it's fine. Probably just for shits and giggles and to keep the wait at the dmv/bmv to a 90 minute minimum wait time.
False: Looks like a K model to me.
Only the F model had rear disc, the C and the super common K models had drums, The K even had those spoke wheels and single disc front.
For $200 I'da snagged that up then been looking for another POS clapped out 79-82 CB750 with title and swapped the goodies over to that frame. Easy days worth of work at that stage.
Agree with HD defo a K model. Just be aware if you want to build it as standard then you will need K specific seat and tail unit as the F models will not fit same for foot pegs, gear change and brake pedal which look to be missing. Fortunately the carbs are the same across the DOHC 750's.

This ^ or hell for 200 bucks quadruple your investment on parts alone..gotta jump sooner. There are very very few "vintage" bikes I wont pay 200 for sight unseen titled or not and I have never lost money. More than often they end up as parts on ebay, but I have had two turn out to be beautys with some small stupid problem the PO couldnt diagnose.
