CB750k Oil Line Mystery

Pulled the engine, rebuilt the top end, and reinstalled in about 3 weeks time. The first couple of test hits were great, not a leak in site, good compression and oil pressure. Hit the freeway and I have a small, but substantial, leak coming out of the crimped portion of one of the oil lines near the crankcase, which had never occurred previously.

My question is this: I changed to Valvoline 20w50 oil motorcycle oil. I'm also getting slippage in 4th gear after about 2,500-3,000RPM.

Is it feasible that the detergents in the oil are causing both problems?

Most likely coinkydink on the clutch side of things and the line is no surprise either, just removing it most likely caused a crack in the old ass rubber and it just took a good warm up to expose it. you can carefully remove the lines from the fittings with a dremmel, use a reinforced disk and just be careful not to cut the fitting, then take them and the old lines to Napa and they will crimp on new lines... Please don't use effing hose clamps... do it right. Also re adjust the cable on the clutch starting at the housing, maybe things are just routed a little tight.
