sooooooooooo i picked up a set of 900/1100 shocks with the reservoir on ebay a lil while ago...a lil dirty and crusty so i decided to take the springs off so i can paint everything....as soon as i take the springs off i go to compress the shocks, of course its easy as pie and wont decompress on its own....
now ive read the whole shock rebuild article and honestly im just feeling lazy....is there anyway to drain it and refill it thru the reservoir if i take the top off from the reservoir instead of taking the whoooooooooolllleeeeeeeeee thing apart
lets hear the options cafe racer gurus
btw heres an interesting way of compressing the springs....my wall mounted spring compressor was too big for this so heres the next best solution a floor jack, car lift, and a bearing press plate ....good times
