Hi Everyone,
Since it's the polite thing to do I'm briefly introducing myself before littering the forums with my technical questions.
My name is Fred and I'm working on my first custom motorcycle, a 1971 Honda CL350. I spent most of the summer getting it to run well, and used whatever time was left to go out riding. It's cold up here in Vermont now, so I can finally get some real work done. Right before the weather turned, my CL started bogging down above 6000rpm, so I'll be dealing with that first. Once the tune-up is done, I'll move on to some minor mods. This build is going to be a long term project. I'm in no rush, as long as the bike runs well and weather permits, I'd rather be riding.
This winter I'm focusing on cleaning up the rear end, making a new seat, replacing any worn parts and mocking up a color scheme. If all goes well, I'll be back on the road by April with a list of things to tackle next winter.
I've been mining the treasure trove of knowledge here at DTT for a while and now it's time to introduce myself and start asking some questions (maybe one day even answer some questions too).
