Hey guys, I have a cg 125 (OHV version of the CB 125) and have just bought a 200cc 163FML engine to go in it. The only thing that is stopping me at the moment is that the CG is points ignition but the 163FML is CDI. People have said to me that I will need to buy a whole new wiring loom but I can't see why I could not just modify the current loom to accomidate the CDI while getting rid of the condeser for the points system.
Definitely a different coil. The rest should be pretty easy. The majority of the time, the ignition circuit is almost completely isolated from the rest of the harness.
Thats interesting. I would not have thought that I would have needed a new coil. Ill take my tank off tomorrow and see if the ignition circut is isolated, and if it is not Ill order some connecters.
So I just did the valve clearance and i thought this was the OHC version but is the pushrod type. Does not bother me as it means no cam chain to starve of oil if im ragging it...
Anyway would you guys think this CDI would do the job?
