For my upcoming rearset swap from stock pegs on my Kawi KZ650 to 2004 GSXR600 pegs, I will need to change from a DOT 5 fluid in my caliper to a DOT 4.
I will be using my current caliper, and maybe the braided line as well, which has been running/using DOT 5.
The GSXR master cylinder, lines and resevoir use DOT 4.
I will be cleaning out the braided line and caliper, using brake cleaner. I will also replace the piston seal and dust seal, as well as any crush wasers on the lines.
If anyone has any tips on cleaning out the caliper and line, please add your comments.
