Hello!

I've got a CL175 that's been chopped and slowly modded to be a cafe style bike. I bought it missing the original gauges but there's an aftermarket speedo. I've opted to buy this: BlueFire® Universal Motorcycle Tacho Tachometer Gauge LED For Honda Yamaha Kawasaki 13000RPM 12V Stainless Steel Blue light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013I45SFG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_F9skwbWXFHXSK

Anyone have any issues installing this style of tach on a smaller twin that fires both plugs at the same time?

Can anyone chime in? Will this tach work? I'm guessing it's not going to come with instructions, how will I be wiring this in?

I suspect the unit will read 2x RPM. There is no way it works on a CB350 (180 degree engine, 2 coils) and a 175 with a 360 degree engine unless there are some sort of switch or programming, that isn't listed in that ad.

Most aftermarket tachs look at a single cylinder. Good ones have a 2 cycle/4 cycle switch, that allows 1 spark per revolution or 1 spark per 2 revolutions. Unless the unit specifically states that, I would stay away from it.

Have you sent a note to the vendor, asking him for info, or even install instructions?
