Ok... so time for a change on the bars... my rotator cuffs have been killing me on long rides so i needed a change... also with the motor build i wanted something a bit lower and "flatter" for the jump on the line... Hogrida (www.hogrida.com) and i have worked together alot, he does all our shops custom bar fabrications and it was time to work with him on my scoot... have to say, he blows me away with his craftsman ship... first step was to figure out what i wanted... so what better way then to draw it all out.

so i came up with a design... i wanted somethign that would be really wide at the bottom cause all the z bars i see are the same width of the trees and it really makes the front end look small, i did not want that... i also wanted the bars to appear that they where big apes but not be...so i got that from doing a drop and then going up with the bars... makes them LOOK like big apes but not, then sent that to my buddy Brian at hogrida

bear in mind i have custom risers on here that loner made me a while back and wnated to keep those... Hogrida blows me away with his attention to detail and how well he worked with me

these bars just stressed why i use Hogrida to do all our custom bars and odds and end fabrication. his work is amazing, he is passionate about what he does, and over all... come on those are SICK!!!! took an idea i put on paper and gave it back to me in metal! i am so so stoked!!! i will get them wired and on the bike ASAP! just wnated to share!!!

Really cool!! 8) 8) 8)

That'll set you apart from the rest!! 8) 8)

we just bought a new shop so we are in the process of moving... any spare time i have i have been working on buttoning up the g wing... is is right there! ill get them on the bike soon! i am going to redo alot of the tins and paint work on my dyna this winter so i will get some pics up

wait till you see our new shop! it is LIGIT!!!!! so nice to have all the machines and powder under one roof now! we have now about 6x's the space we used to!

5 hours in... 1 side is pre wired (internal) the other side is about 1/2 there... i bet it will also take me about 5 hours to get though and clean, with no damage to the wires... 10 hours to internally wire bars is insane yes... but well worth it! these suckers are a pain! unreal, i have tried everything from chain lub, to electritions lube, to even baby powder... went though 5 diff types of string... kept cutting or fraying them. so i cut up an old bike shifter cable, that worked... i wrapped the back 1/2 of the wires in wrap so that they would not get all cut up after i got the hard part pulled though... after all is said and done though i think i am going to shoot some expandable foam in the inside of the bars to ensure that the wires do not bounce around... only thing that worries me is i can never get them out then, not sure i could anyway to be honest... but i have learned my lesson, no more z bars that is for sure!

insane dude. I would have gave up 30 minutes in or just drilled a few extra guide holes. Those aren't z bars, they are double z bars! so man sharp bends I can't believe you actually got all the wiring through! They look great btw. Now make some 6" rise window bars in 7/8" and sell them to me for free! Thanks in advance :p

well last night i put in some more time on the bars.... they are wired!!!! finally! after they fed though i rev fed a wire cover over them to protect the wires, i will also fill the bars with "stuff" once i test them to ensure all is well, still have to cut and solder the ends to clean them up! and i can get them on... next up i can finaly get on my custom fenders!
