Hey everyone, my name is Josh and I'm from Texas. My father has had a '75 CB125 (his first bike) tucked away in the garage for as long as I can remember, I have never heard it run. Ever since I was 15 I've been begging him to let me tinker with it and convert it to a Cafe Racer. Well today at 5:57pm, he said "It's yours, have at it". After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I gathered my thoughts and hauled ass to the garage. I cannot wait to get this thing going! It needs a lot of TLC, at the top of the list I have a new brake lever, tires, the gas tank needs to be cleaned, carb is gummed up, exhaust has holes in it, pretty much everything you can expect from a bike that has sat for over 20 years. I also I want to do away with that ugly seat, bars, brake light, and fenders. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, if I can keep my '66 Mustang on the road this shouldn't been too hard for me. The thing is that I'm completely new to the motorcycle resto game and I have no idea where to get parts. I've been creeping around the forum for the past hour or so and can see that you guys are a wealth of information and I can't wait to contribute. Okay... now let the hazing begin! haha

Welcome to DTT. The 125 is a killer first project. Super easy to work on, and parts are plentiful and cheap. On the topic of parts, a lot of engine bits for the 125 can still he ordered through your local Honda dealer. There's also EBay, and if you haven't yet, find your local bike salvage yard. Aftermarket stuff can be had from a million places. I'd recommend some of our sponsors here such as Dime City Cycles. Don't hesitate to try and make as many things as you can also.

Good luck with the bike and make sure to start a build thread.

Thanks, I'm glad to be here. I've started tearing into it today and I took a few pics.

Here's the build thread I started. http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=41942.0
