Chicago to Minneapolis?

Hey Guys,

I'm considering riding from detroit to minneapolis with a detour in chicago. Have any of you done a one or two day trip from chicago to minneapolis avoiding the expressway? I would hate to take 90 / 94.

90/94 Is usually packed full of traffic, unless u are going the opposite way of rush hour.
It is the straightest way thru the city 4 sure..

if you have GPS man you can plan a route without using highways... if not let me know... i can give you an idea of what mine says
