chicken 76 cb750 super sport

Im picking up a 1977 goldwing front end with everything but fender and headlight for 150 bucks, ill put up some picks when i get that bad boy in about a week.

That dose suck, sorry to hear that.
It is a worth while upgrade and should not be to hard to get the parts you need.
resist the temptation to go to modern on the front forks.

I just found another one and im going to get it next weekend, god provides for fools and people who got screwed over in there last business deal.

Cool beans. Look on ebay, there's usually plenty of GL1000 front ends to be had for a decent price.

One gl1000 front end as promised, complete with speedo cable, front mc and vetter headlight. The chrome is in pretty good condition and the mc still works but its full of some unidentified black motorcycle sludge.Im super happy with it just need to check out the mc, caliper and paint the wheel black and it should be good to go.

How do you plan to fix the triple tree riser being built in? Its ugly as sin in my book and am curious about your thoughts?

People recommend that you buy tapered bearings to replace in the neck. I just bought mine off amazon.

Im just going to leave the riser, i dont really mind it and i have already got a set of new allz balls bering that were going to go on the stock front end i can use.

Riser doesnt look that bad once installed.
And the "look" is way less important then the performance gains of the front end.

There is a guy making billet top clamps, or you could just shave it and run clip ons
But with stock pegs the hot ticket is superbike bars

Im going to run clubmans once i get a rear set, and the time i would be spending shaving the front end could be spend working on modifications and the money for bilited triple top clamp could go for a cowl, rear set, or any number of other parts i want/need for the bike (im still like a grand out from getting the bike finished with performance and visual aspects sadly)

Well its been a while and i have had some shitty luck but i should be getting back to building soon, Like I said earlier my parents paid to have the bike rebuilt but that didint work out so well, they paid upfront and they guy lost intrest so i get it back with a motor that spins free, an almost complete rewiring job and a newly repainted frame and the rest is all a mystery , im currently getting the run around on actually getting the bike back into my hand but hopefully i can get it back within the next month.
