Hey guys, after not being able to work on anything for a good while it feels good to have to some time to work on my CL 350 engine. I am looking at replacing the gaskets on the top end and measuring the rings just to make sure they are in spec and other things to that matter. But anyway, I have gotten the valve cover off simply enough. But, the cam case on top of the cylinder head, will not come off. This is do the fact that the 8 screws, 4 on each side that hold on the points plate and tach housing are seized. So I guess my question is, is it possible to I'm fact just pull the cam case off the top without removing the camshaft and rocker arms? Thanks in advance. The screws were already stripped and I have already ordered new ones. Just wondering if there was a way around it, without having to drill them out individually. Or? Splitting the cases from the bottom up. Thank you :)

Without removing those eight screws, the only way to remove the cam and cam box is to cut the cam chain.
