CL/CB160 Parts (some CL/CB 175 Parts could also work!)

Been Around the Block
Hi all, Friend recently gave me a CL160 that he botched the restoration on. Looking for a number of parts in order to turn it back to stock. If you have any of these parts, or leads to find them, I would be most appreciative.

Front foot peg/under chassis bar
Steering dampener assembly
Exhaust collars/collets (shims)
Side covers
Stock Mirrors
Stock hand Controls
Muffler hanger stay (attaches to from near rear shock)

Thanks,

Adam

Adam, The battery tray is a stamped steel assembly welded to the frame. Did he cut that off the frame? If so you may have to fabricate something.

Do you still have the high pipes? That was the best looking feature on those bikes IMHO.

That's my bad, I hadn't checked the frame enough, just knew that he removed everything from the frame triangle. I will take battery tray off the list.

Yes, the best thing going for the bike at the moment are the scrambler high pipes with shield.

I know I have a tool box or two -- does color matter?

I also have a CL160 I am working on and may be getting a parts bike or stripping a bike of some parts, I'll keep your list in mind and let you know. Please post if you have found stuff so I don't nab it and you don't need it.

Amazing! Colour does not matter as I will be doing a repaint for most parts of the bike. I will be sure to keep the post updates as I acquire them.

Funny thing is that the battery tray has been chopped off the bike I am either selling or converting into a cafe racer. Whatever I do, I have to fabricate something as a replacement either under the seat or where the stock battery goes. I hope yours is still on the frame.

Here's some closeups of the bike (prior to him disassembling and leaving for 2 years) so you can see what I'm up against.

Yes, I want to return to the stock foot controls. This looks a little too homebuilt for my liking.

Also, RE: Carnivorous, I would be very interested in the foot controls but maybe its best if we wait to see if the parts bike situation works out to avoid separate shipping?

Thanks

I managed to get quite a few pieces from nic059 on caferacer.net. Great guy, and much appreciated. I've updated original post to show what's still remaining

Hand controls from a CB100 should fit; it's just a 7/8 bar. The wiring to be checked to see if it's compatible. Although, the right side doesn't have a start button - I can get you the left controls if the wiring will plug and play. Has a good clutch lever too.
