The front end is CB450 K1 and the tank is from a CA/CD175. The old engine is totally scrap. I got to buy the whole gears, clutch basket, engine cover, cam and rockers to replace. You might ask why I did not bought the whole engine, answer is I need to keep the engine number for the number plate.

Mufflers was bought from ebay at $34 each and it makes real gooood GP sound

I am not a technician, I just know what to do with this and a local guy help me out.

Do you live in HCMC and wear an open faced helmet with a cafe racer sticker on the side? If so, i saw you getting about a few weeks ago and remember thinking it was a great colour. Nice work.

Hi Anh Viet,

Good to see another rider living in Vietnam here in DTT. Where in Saigon are you We should catch up and go for a ride some time..

That's one great looking bike there, man!

Hi Mojo and Shotgun,

I am currently living in Saigon. Really want to catchup and have a coffee with you guy. Let me know or call me at 0902737271 or my yahoo: vietbac_pham.

Really like to say DTT to be global now.

Looks great. Really quite a change.

I dig the seat, I hear you guys can get custom seats pretty cheap over there.

nice work ahn viet,
love the colour and seat very tight,
looks better than factory,
my dream is to ride from south to north vietnam someday soon,

Yeah, seat re manufactured in Vietnam at low cost but shipping to US could be overwhelming. If you travelled to Vietnam, let me know in advance if you need once. I am planning a trip from Saigon to Ha Giang Province by end of 2011. That would be extremely riding challenges for any rider.

Best regards,

Viet Bac

I just bought a cl175. It's in great condition. Few dings here and there but engine is stronge minus the carbs needing to be cleaned. I need great sites for after market parts to make my cafe. Any ideas of good sites that aren't super pricy?
