CL350 Bolt Kit

I have done a search and it seems there are a couple threads on stainless allen head bolt kits. I have searched www.stainlesscycle.com but they only have a kit for the 350F. Does anyone have any other sources?

JC Whitney has a 150pc set, don't know if they are stainless but it's more then plenty. I have seen a couple of bolts close to $40 on ebay, this is not a bad deal.

The trick is to get the OEM parts manual for your bike. If it's like my CB550F's manual, it lists every bolt's dimensions. I made up a list and went to Brafasco (a local fastener supplier) and got my bolts all at once.

I even replaced the loooong skinny tailight and signal light lens bolts with stainless socket-cap bolts.

Total for 400+ pieces (including washers etc.) was about $100.

Hey Tintin

Were you able to get allen bolts at Brafasco for the crankcase cover or did you go with the stock phillips? Also, do they take orders from the public or businesses only?

Yep - got everything in stainless socket cap (allen) bolts. They have retail locations open to anyone. They also sell all sorts of other bits and bobs, including loctite, some tools, rags etc.

To speed things up they let me fax in the list of what I wanted. I seem to recall they wrote the prices on it and faxed it back to me, then I went in and picked up the order.

Its too bad my Yamaha XS650 parts manuals don't seem to have the bolt dimensions in it. It sure made it a lot easier.
