hello first time bike builder here and i am a low income college student and i was wondering since i am almost done rebuilding my 1972 CL350.
I was hoping to use a Honda 1968-1978 CB750 camchain tensioner like the set in this one in place of the three times as expensive set from cmsnl.com
has anyone ever had this problem or am i just being a cheapskate and need to save up more money to get my bike back on the road.

but if this isn't a good one to use or even purchase should i purchase from http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cl350-scrambler-350-k4-1972-usa_model549/ no idea which to go with so kind of confused.

The bracket for the 750 will not work in the 350. The guide wont fit as well.
The rollers should be the same size. You could transfer them to your old bracket, like I mentioned to you before.
You will need to source a chain slider/guide for a 350. Like this: http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cl350-scrambler-350-k4-1972-usa_model549/guide-camchain_14611312000/

Edit: the 750 guide may just fit.
350 part number: 14611-312-000
750 part number: 14611-300-000
You may be on to something, but if you get the 750 kit, I would transfer the rollers over to the old/350 holder.

Look at this post: http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=55008.msg622510#msg622510

The 350 and 750 share the same size rollers.
Side by side, you can tell the 750 bracket is very different.

I cannot confirm that the 350 and 750 have the same slider, but they look similar in the parts diagrams and part numbers ae very close.
