CL350 motor and bits on a CB360 frame?

The CL350 I'm riding right now has some rust issues on the inside of the frame. To shorten the story, it now has a hole in the frame on the lower L side directly between the motor mounts. Everything else on the bike is pretty dialed in, and I'd like to swap the motor, forks, wheels, etc onto a new frame.

Today I came across a CB360 for a very very very reasonable price, which I've been told is in decent shape, and the frame is good (I have not seen it in person yet).

I hope I'm not out of line here, I searched the forum and found a few helpful bits, but not a solid enough answer to confidently begin this changeover. The motor appears to be able to bolt right up, is that correct? What else might I run in to that needs to be addressed? I mean literally, swapping everything onto the new frame

CrazyPJ?

I can get this, a 350 and a 360 are different bikes, you will have to do some work to the frame to get it to fit correctly. I have seen pictures of it done, one of the members over on Honda twins has done it. Well CJ360 engine in an SL350 frame.

Here's a link to that discussion http://www.hondatwins.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=8897&p=74120&hilit=360+in+a+350+frame#p74120

I hate linking stuff off site but saves hours of work for you sir. May go over there an pick his brain a bit.

trouble is that the 350 frame has uneven lower bars. meaning the right side of the lower frame is lower than the left where the motor mounts. the 360 are even.
So you would either have to cut and weld the 350 frame, or rig something up for the 360 motor to sit higher in the frame.
However, I own both types and it is my belief that the 360 frame is more ridged than the the 350.

350 into 360 frame will be easy.
360 into a 350 frame is a lot of work as 360 motor is taller and wider than 350

tweaked; the frame is lower on one side but the mounts are parallel to the ground and reside upon the same plane. the lower side has a mount that goes up, while the higher side has a mount that points down.

Where are you located? I have a solid CB350 frame that I can hook ya up with on the cheap. Just swap the vin plates.
