I have a cb350 project that im wanting to either a have or rebuild the motor or b swap it out for something else and rebuild the motor and throw it on a 4 wheeler. Any ideas? Tips or maybe a step by step rebuild guide on the motor? I have the tools to do it but not the skill. I want it done right. I also need carbs. Any aftermarket setups i can buy?

.
why would you want to swap it out for another engine that needs rebuilding?

the carb size depends on how the engine is built but 32's are common on upgraded 350 engines

Well i was thinking cb400f engine swap? I heared its bolt in and that means i think 10 more horse and 6 speeds. Im going to be doing alot of highway riding on this bike. So i figure if i have to rebuild the motor anyway i could swap it and add some goodies to a better motor.

.
ok that makes sense . . you want to swap the slow 350 5 speed engine for the faster 400 6 speed engine so all you have to do is find someone with a 400 engine that wants to make their bike slower . . that shouldn't be hard.

I don't think the CB400 four cylinder motor will play nice with the CL350 frame.
If you plan on doing a lot of highway riding, I would look for another bike completely with a bit larger motor, say a 650cc.

Here's a nice writeup on a 350 rebuild from HondaTwins.Net:

As for aftermarket carbs for the 350, a lot of people use the VM30s. many kits out there. Watch who is selling them, they're not a plug-n-play option. A lot them list being altered for the CB350 with different slides/needles/jets/etc...
The VMs are two-stroke carbs that are adapted to work on a four stroke.

not a bolt in. The CB400 twin is a stressed part of the frame. Motor mounts not even close.

I miss understood what i was reading haha. Yeah so ill stick with my cb350 engine and do some upgtades to it while im in it.
