CL360 shinko 712 size confirmation

I know there are about a million threads about going up a size on tires.

But I wanted to just confirm that going with Shinko 712 tires 3.00-18 front and 3.50-18 rear, will have to problems on stock rims.

My 1975 Cl360 has 1.60x18 front rim, and 1.85x18 rear rim. The manual states stock tires are 3.00-18 front and 3.50-18 rear. So according to this, I should have no problems.

But the shinko website states that the recommended rim for both 3.00-18 and 3.50-18 tires is a 2.75 wide rim (see link below):

So should I adhere to the tire manufacturer rim width recommendation? Or is it fine to ignore the 2.75 recommendation and just go with it.

My main goal is to fit the proper stock tires for safety.

Thanks for your input in advance.

Yeah, the 2.75 recommended rim on the website seems like a mistake. I mean how can you recommend a 2.75 rim for a 3.00 tire. Weird.
