So I bought these 45 mm clip-ons thaht went on a gsx-r and my bike (gs 750 77) have a 37 mm fork , hence I have acces to a lathe and miller machine at school
I tought I could make some spacers ,that would be pressfit in the 45 mm clip-ons, with a inner diameter of 37 so when bolted it would fit the forks.

Do you think it's safe ? becaus thahts my only concerne

should be fine. been done before. you simply need to slot the spacer.

what do you mean by slot the spacer?

My english is not that good

I think he means cut a slot running the length of the spacer so that it will compress and 'clamp down' along with the part of the clip-on that goes on the fork. Right?

Ya... If you dont slot the spacer, the bars just clamp to it and not the forks. Bad. Slot the spacer so both it and the bars clamp to the fork leg.

Curious, what are your forks off of? Because the stock 77-78 Suzuki GS 750 has 35mm forks.

I took it from a chart , maybe I made an error of cours I was going to measure it before starting any work .

I like how your gs750 project is going !
