Clutch adjustmet questions

I was working on the reassembly of my bike today and decided to put it in gear well when I pulled the clutch in it wouldn't completely release so I tried adjusting it per the instructions in the book but no matter how tight I make the clutch it still will not completely release I can however feel it loosen up just enough to push the bike, but not enough to feel that free rolling feel. Now the motor was drained of all the oil for a few months and hasn't been run yet so will this situation change after I get it filled up with oil and running again?

Yep, it sure will, I had the exact same issue. Took the bike out after putting it back together and the clutch was creeping/sticking like crazy for the first 5-10 KM's, then the thing freed up and was slipping. So I re-adjusted and it was fine. They get stuck together when they sit for a while.

Sweet I was hoping that was the case since I did have the side cover off of the motor for a while. If it doesn't clear up I will be back. ;D
