Clutch Cable Kawasaki KZ250 Broken and discontinued NEED HELP!

Hey Guys I have a 1985 Kawasaki KZ 250 LTD with belt. It has a two cable clutch system where it is attached to the foot stand. Mine is broken and I need to repair it, so my bike can be legally put back on the streets. Guys at Kawasaki store gave me 54011-1141 for the part number but it is discontinued. Anybody knows if there is an alternative or where I could get this part???

Is the cable attached to the kick stand a crude safety feature? If so, I'd just bypass it.

Well according to our law here yes and I cant plate it if this is not repaired.
