Hello I'm Eric
This is my first post even though I've been a member for a little while, I have just been observing.

I have a '75 cb360 and I just finished installing a set of clubmans. Hoping for a test ride I pull in the clutch, hear a pop and now the clutch lever is stuck and the kick start won't catch I dont know if this has is a related problem or not, what is the problem???
Many thanks, Eric

The clutch lever is all the way in? That's why the kicker won't catch - the handle needs to be released for the kick starter to work.

As to why the lever is stuck in, pull the front sprocket cover off and see what's going on in there. Should be 3 phillips screws + the shifter.

Pulled the sprocket cover off this afternoon, it looks ok, I think I really don't know what to look for, but it's still stuck. I can take pliers and grab the arm and turn it down but there is still a small amount of slack in the cable and will not release by it self.

Whats the next step to get this thing fixed????

How is cable routed?
You need to route it across steering head and down RIGHT side of bike, over manifolds and then to cover/lift mechanism.
Probably be a good idea to oil it while you have things apart (light oil 3 in 1 or similar)

I never moved the cable from the stock location when I put the clubmans on. It's like the arm is stuck but I don't know why it's sticking.

you have a real tight bend in cable where it goes from bars down left side of bike.
You made it non-stock so stock routing wont work.
cables like smoothest sweep and large radius turns.
you said it was working before you swapped bars

Good point, now that I think of it I should have adjusted the clutch before I did anything else.

I just didn't think that moving it only a few inches would change things so much.

Anything else I should do before I ride it? Tubes and tires are new, brakes are all new, oil is clean. Maybe take out the baffles ;D

Don't touch the baffles or airbox, your having enough trouble with something as simple as changing handlebars ::)
